After watching the trailer for the new Rainbow Six game, I've got to say, this is something special. The story in itself is very provocative and is a hot issue in today's society. I think this game will be a huge success because the Rainbow Six franchise has always made us an insanely fun tactical shooter while delivering a very in-depth story-line.
The whole concept of terrorists fighting against the government and corporate America is an interesting topic which Ubisoft has chosen to portray in their game. In their game they make the player face hard decisions, such as the one they showed in the trailer, where you had to toss a guy off a bridge because he was about to blow up.
Although the lines are blurred because of the terrorists wanting to reshape America in a good way, they use a completely despicable way of accomplishing their goals. So I think Ubisoft kinda made it more of a good guy vs. bad guy game in that, as many people don't like the issue and it would kinda be being if all you did was stare at dissident protesters all day.
I've played Rainbow Six games in the past and I think they are slightly moving towards more and more national problems facing America, which I think is interesting due to the fact no one every really tries this. Ubisoft is probably one of the better big game companies out there and I think they might be number one compared to EA and Activision in terms of game quality. The Assassin's Creed franchise is amazing and they are releasing their new AC3 soon. Although I do think that AC is running out of ideas fast and they should move on to something fresh.
